The Espace Louis Vuitton München is pleased to present an exhibition dedicated to the artist Sarah Morris, pursuing the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s mission of showcasing holdings from the Collection to an international audience through the “Hors-les-murs” programme. This programme unfolds at the Espaces Louis Vuitton in Tokyo, Munich, Venice, Beijing, Seoul and Osaka.

Since the end of the 1990s, Sarah Morris (born in 1976 in the United Kingdom) has been developing a dual vision of urban spaces and architecture through her paintings and films, forming a body of work that reflects hyper-modernity. Morris’ films are set in specific social and urban contexts, focusing on well-known places.

Der Espace Louis Vuitton München freut sich, eine neue Ausstellung präsentieren zu dürfen, die der Künstlerin Sarah Morris gewidmet ist. Die Ausstellung verfolgt außerdem das Ziel der Fondation Louis Vuitton, im Rahmen des “Hors-les-murs”-Programms Werke aus dem Sammlungsbestand einem internationalen Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Das Programm wird in den Espaces Louis Vuitton an den Standorten Tokio, München, Venedig, Peking, Seoul und Osaka gezeigt.

Seit Ende der 1990er Jahre entwickelt Sarah Morris (geboren 1976 in Großbritannien) in ihren Gemälden und Filmen eine duale Vision von urbanen Räumen und Architektur und bildet so ein Werk, das die Hypermoderne reflektiert. Morris’ Filme sind in spezifischen sozialen und urbanen Kontexten angesiedelt und konzentrieren sich auf bekannte Orte.
